Food and Fashion didn’t come to mind when I went to Lille 3000 Renaissance: Textifood expo, but when I arrived I was impressed with the innovative design that I saw. The stylish dresses were made with natural materials like oranges, lemons, pineapples, bananas, coffee, rice, corn, mushrooms and wine amongst others. It was exciting to see the technological advances that are being made in the fashion world and to understand that there are endless possibilities to change how we use food to create textiles in the future.
